Peachy-yummy Smoothie

Exactly one week ago I bought a blender. That was about the time my life changed forever.

Since I’ve had the new blender I’ve made about 5 smoothies. These smoothies have been amazing, and they are giving me lots of energy in the morning and helping me lose weight. I drink one for either breakfast or a mid-morning snack, and I’ve noticed that until lunch I’m much more alert and happy than I was in my no-breakfast days. Fruit is one of those things that really gets your energy up in the morning, and I love it because fruit goes great with coffee (and I have to start the day with coffee). My favorite fruit is peaches, so naturally my favorite smoothie so far has been this peach smoothie recipe that I adapted a little. It’s healthy, yummy, and peachy, so I named it the peachy-yummy smoothie. I know, it’s really creative.

Peachy-yummy Smoothie

1/2 cup white grape peach juice
1/2 cup vanilla or peach yogurt
1/2 cup frozen peaches
1/2 cup green grapes
4 frozen strawberries
1 tsp ground flaxseed
1 tbsp vanilla soy protein powder
ice (as needed for thickness)

Tomorrow I’m going to make a spinach, apple, grape smoothie (all green fruits and vegetables). I’ll try to take a picture of it and remember exactly what I put in it so I can tell you later. I know it kind of sounds gross, but I think the fruit will overpower the spinach and it should end up tasting great.
